The Spot & Vu Noodles (in Charlottesville)
Ok, here is the story. Julie somehow became my friend on FB and offered me a free dish. You see, my wife passed away six months ago and I still talk about her quite a bit on Facebook. Julie said, PLEASE come down (from Crozet) and pick something out! Today I had the chance to take her up on her offer and wow...I mean WOW! Very fresh and delicious, plus...look at that smile! I love when people love what they do. I also love great food and a good deed, thanks Julie! I hope you and Kathy crush it in C'ville! Wait...Charlottesville has a speakeasy!?!
That's right you read correctly, well sort of. Actually I really don't know, I mean it's underground, hidden and is a secret of sorts. I may be putting my life in danger just talking about it! Good luck finding it and if you do, stay safe and enjoy!

Sometimes you bump into a nice person!
I just about bumped into Kathy Zentgraf of Greenies (and The Spot) at The Spot the other day. I knew about the great root vegetable pitas from Greenies at the Charlottesville Farmers Market, but I wasn't familiar with The Spot. Kathy talked to me about it, showed me the kitchen, even gave me a big bag of collard greens to go, on the house! This spontaneous generosity has made me happy to give a shout out on my blog! All the best Kathy! Oh - I forgot to mention Kathy and her husband will be offer a cooking class soon! I'm sure it will be awesome! May 12th/Camp Holiday Trails/6:30 - 9:00. To inquire call 434-996-1869, or email Kathy at greenies.markets@gmail.com.
